A WORLD OF WONDER

Gaelaris began as an inert world containing a mysterious central power now known as the Source. Vast primordial elementals and paraelementals were drawn to it, and their wars physically molded the world.

The collision of primordial energies with the Source gave rise to divine power and the first gods. In time those gods created divine children of their own, before the eldest passed into the forgotten Great Slumber.

During the Creation Wars, tendrils of the Source reached outward through the forming world. They remain today as Source Veins—the foundation upon which much of Gaelaris's magic rests.

This is a living setting. Unknown lands will remain unknown until their stories are written.

Before nations, before mortal history, and before the gods themselves, there was the Source. Primordial powers came to it and warred over the barren world around it. Their conflict reshaped the rock, and the energies unleashed in that struggle changed creation forever.

The Source Veins remain as pathways through the world—a physical legacy of those ancient events and the foundation of Gaelaris's magical landscape.

We will not fill empty spaces simply to make the atlas look complete. Unknown territory is part of Gaelaris.
